Hey all. I commissioned a rigged model in Maya and I'd like to export it to Unity. However when it comes into Unity, parts of the model go missing. (A leg, helmet, etc.) So I tried deleting the non-deformer history but that ends up doing the same thing and getting rid of parts of the model. The only thing that works is deleting the history and unbinding it altogether.
Any idea on what I can do? Let me know and I can also upload it. Just learning Maya LT specifically for game dev and this stumped me.

This should have been part of your commission instructions to be honest. And the rigger should have demonstrated the rig works in Unity before getting paid.
You could also try posting on Tech-Artists.org, see if anyone has advice. Lots of riggers on there. http://tech-artists.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?11-Rigging-and-Visuals
Unfortunately, we don't know what the rig looks like, so it's hard to provide specific information.
