Hey everyone,
I've just finished my HL2 SP mod,
Transmissions: Element 120.
Here are a few shots:
And my launch trailer:

I did a lot to bring this source engine up to date. For example, I added new dynamic lighting, added the source shader editor and added a new post process for dynamic lens flare, and painstakingly manually placed AO everywhere using blocklight volumes & decals.
It was a ton of work. I'd love to hear feeback from you all, some of the best artists in the industry. I'll keep checking in here. The positive feedback has been overwhelming and its hard to keep up, so I may be slow to respond.
Finally, if you guys like this help me get this greenlight so I can make the installation a one button installer:

Truly a marvelous job; that water puddle on the concrete with the reflections is great
Thanks! It's really not too bad, I've done work with a few newer engines and tools like... Unreal. There still a lot of things Source does really well, mostly on the gameplay side. There's a few things newer engines can do much faster (to build and render), but they both can render the same data very much the same.
The hardest part was missing a lot of the automated luxury of newer tools like AO, real time lighting preview. Lighting was especially challenging and time consuming. It still can take a long time to bake with Source and I've got a pretty nice machine.
