Job Title: Tech Artist
Duties and Responsibilities:
Were looking for a crew member whose passion is set in investigating new game art workflows and techniques for asset creation and integration. As a Tech artist, you are responsible for creating tools to ensure that art assets can be integrated into the game without sacrificing artistic vision or exceeding the platforms technical limits. Essentially, you will be acting as the bridge between Artists and Programmers while training the team on new workflows that ensure productivity.
Requirements and Skills:
- Knowledge of Unity 5, Maya, and related asset creation programs.
- Extensive knowledge of node-based shader editing.
- Knowledge of Python, Mel, or similar languages.
- Experience working on a game development team with at least 3 members, preferably using an Agile Development methodology.
- Experience/Interest in working with virtual reality headsets such as the Oculus Rift.
- Experience/Interest in creating a game about flight set in a stylized sci-fi / fantasy world.
- Extensive experience holding your arms out to your side and pretending you are a plane.
