Hey everyone,
I'm teaming up with two friends of mine (
Pedro Miranda [2D Concept Artist] and
Filipe Igreja [3D Artist]) to do a scifi environment in Unreal 4. Filipe and I want to learn how to work with Unreal, since it seems to be a big plus when applying for a job as a 3D Environment/Prop Artist, so we thought we'd build something that hopefully will look good in our portfolios, and let us learn and have fun in the mean time!
We're open to C&C, and will appreciate it a lot, as we definitely aim to create something everyone will enjoy!
So, these are the concepts that Pedro made for us:
It's a very little scene at the moment, but if everything goes well, we'll probably add a few more divisions to it.
We have already built a mock up scene in Unreal, we'll share some images soon!
Thanks for watching!

I don't think asking for filtered feedback is the way to go. I personally wouldn't want anyone holding back when giving feedback just because my feelings might get hurt.
Onto the concept art. I think overall the first image is a good start. Perhaps a bit simple given the skill level and the amount of people in your current team. I would consider adding a more intricate design to the door and the machine with the screen to make it more challenging. I do enjoy the overall composition and color in the first image, keep up the good work!
I completely agree with you, Leinad, and will edit the post accordingly
Meanwhile, here's some more work by Pedro on the modules:
Some modules are already being modeled, updates will come soon
Thanks ....
Sorry for my bad english.
Thanks.
Meanwhile, here are some printscreens from Unreal 4, with my modules in the scene. Filipe is still working on the walls, so the scene still looks too empty without them.
They also seem to have the same amount of depth. If you could give more depth variety that would help too.
I realize the concept is like this as well. But that would be one thing I would try and push and emphasize more than the concept indicates.
