Hello, this is my first WIP post. Im creating modular dungeon for my portfolio. Everything here is in testing stage, no painting yet, only flat color(white) and normal maps. Creating enviroments and levels are pretty new to me Critics, advices and feedback are highly appreciated, Thanks!
Overwhelmingly too dark, I wouldn't say your done....I'd work in better edge wear on your wood, as well as some variation in color/value for your wood and stones. Blocks look decent but not amazing, your wood arch is too low poly, depending on what it's for....yet for portfolio piece it's too low. Can't say I love the final image, the stones are too shiny, the green doesn't work for the the lighting in it's current state, and the window frames could use some contrast from the blocks.
Hey Qwedeath, I think what you have is a great start. However, depending on what you are trying to demonstrate in your portfolio, I don't think it shows the modular workflow of current games.
I think that what you have right now would be great for learning how to create tiling textures that could be applied to modular chunks of geometry that you could then use to build your dungeon.
3DMotive has some great tutorials that teach some basics of building Modular game assets and also tiling textures. It's really affordable, too.

This was a pretty interesting article I came across a while ago when I was messing around with leveling design.
Skyrim's Modular Approach to Level Design
I would also suggest heading over to the Throne Room Challenge and taking a look at how some of those environments are being created.
Anyways, I hope this helps, and keep it up!
