I don't high poly bake much of what I've put together in my portfolio due to me screwing it up in some fashion. I'm trying to learn the right way but could use some help on what would work best as of tutorials. Some details are just a pain to mess with in Photoshop and Quixel Suite but would be a cinch with a bake. I want to figure this out, so if there's any tips about the cage, best way to prep, video links, etc. would be helpful for me. I've put it off and put it off but I gotta figure this out, my stubborn nature won't have it any other way. ha ha!

In regards to the supporting loops used in Earthquake's "Understanding Averaged Normals...", what tips can you provide on when to use them? I've taken in a lot of information and some of it is sticking. I have a model I'm working on that would be great practice for the information shared.
Also, if I reiterate a statement or fact in another way, it's not that I hadn't forgotten the information or didn't get to it, I do so to understand what I'm trying to learn and make sense of it in my own head.
This video was located in the area after another Youtube video ends. And it helped me understand what I was doing wrong and how to fix it. I use 3Ds Max but that's minor. Ha ha! While I had an understanding of 'hard edges', this helped cement everything into my head.
