Necromancer's Blade

Hello everyone, I haven't posted any art on Polycount in quite a while...

I graduated with an advanced diploma in game development almost a year ago, and since then haven't been too active in the craft. I did a paid freelance contract, as well as some of my own personal work, but haven't really completed any of my own personal work until now. Here's my first contribution to Skywind (https://tesrenewal.com/) that I've been working on:

First I made some concept art:

Then I made the high-poly:

Then I finished a first-pass of the final textured result:

I think the final result is a little underwhelming, mainly because I haven't been able to make the blade look reflective and glossy like a smooth razor sharp ebony/glass-like blade should look like. I was able to capture the look in my concept art, but not in 3D so far...
