Hi Polycounters
I'm working on a new project called "Mailman". It deals with a Mailman who is traveling through a fantasy world to fight against the evil and bring all the letters and packages to the brave people.
I think that a hand painted style would be very nice.
This is my concept ....
And this is my latest WIP ...
C&C are always welcome 8)

Maybe something more along the lines of a cravat or for even older a Ruff to age the clothing a bit? http://www.history.org/history/clothing/men/images/cravat1.jpg

To age it even further probably a draw string that ties the top of the shirt together, although that may or may not be too generic depending on your tastes.
Then again, if you open up the concept to some crazy time traveling mailman, then maybe the tie works.
I could be insane and this could be great if you really emphasized the absurb nature of some of his modern forms of clothing and tied it into some sort of patch-like nature of old clothing. Basically the opposite approach in which you make it bat-shit crazy in a humorous way.
Keep it up! I do like the overall tapered/top-heavy form his body is taking.
I should mention that my basic idea is similar to brütal legend mixed with adventure time.
Sweet as sculpting, so damn slick.
I would assume the sword was bestowed upon him in some manner?Tis quite a nice sword, I think it fits in quite nicely, just need a means to keep it attached.
Keep it up!
Yes. Do that! ^
The Idea of a Hammer is really nice, he could looks like a US Mailbox with the word "delivered" on his sides
Here is a new Hammer with bigger handle ...
Next step, detail work :poly124:
Lovin' where this is heading.
I made his mailbag a little bit bigger and put some placeholder mails in it.I think that my Highpoly is final. Now I have the choice between a rough polypaint version or making the lowpoly ...
I found time to make the lowpoly version, next stop is UV and baking 8)
The Hammer and the Horn will follow soon 8)
At the moment it kind of just ends as his hair is swept back instead of swirling around into the top of his head.
I would definitely try a quick resculpt with some better reference for the crown. This should really add that finishing touch
Apart from that its hard to say much else!
Keep it up dude!
I made a few changes and play with materials ...
kind of makes me think of the game sunset overdrive, which is a good thing hope to see him in an epic pose, or even animated.
You are right spitty, the details are to strong, I will reduce the damage on the sides to give the outer areas a better focus
And yes, epic poses and animations will follow 8)
The material definition is a bit weird with the hair though , it looks like it's made out of wood and someone glued it on his face.
But overall... fett. ^^
I like the hair style my only problem is the material, I want fancy anisotropy reflections and maybe a better colour texture.
@ Gazu
Thanks dude
I'm not happy with my current texture direction, I play to much with PBR materials and realistic definitions, therefore I will take a step back.
I discovered new references from the games Loadout and Fortnite
A new update will comming soon 8)
Dude, that's because your face is upside down.
I workagain on the textures/ materials ... The hair is still a WIP
I have only my highpoly left (God save the Zbrush autosave). But I will bring my character back to life ... so stay tuned folks 8)
