I'm not having any trouble loading up stuff on the page.

Nice clean layout and easy to navigate, but I don't know much about VFX so I can't give much feedback regarding your work.

I personally am not having any issues with any sort of slowness either. Sure the pictures do not load instantly, but with my decent internet speeds, it is not anything annoying.

As for portfolio critique, the group project is really solid. I also really enjoy the WIP video from the Aeolus project. If you are trying to portray yourself as a tech and/or fx artist, I would try to setup some gif break downs or at least some sort of individual shot of your more recent fx work. The breakdown shots for the UDK project are passable, but would love to see the FX in motion in a demo reel or gif format with a break down of passes or something of the sort.

Would really work on just getting content on the portfolio right now as well. While the work we can see related to FX is solid for a student/junior level, would be cool to see a larger quantity, as it is currently hard to judge your skill sets.

As for the about me page, I am personally never really a fan of the personal descriptions/mini bio/etc. My personal preference when looking through portfolios is just to have the resume and work, bio's and pictures sometimes come off as unprofessional. Going to stress it again though, that is just a personal preference when it comes to ports. Other than that, keep it up man!

Thanks for the feedback so far guys. I will focus on adding some breakdowns soon. Also The Reactor project is a work in progress so there will be added a lot more on that page.

@Cay I have experienced it too. I think getting an official account and own URL should make it smoother. It can be a bit slow and I would like to have it a bit faster. Saving my files for web and re-uploading could make a difference.

@Add3r The personal description was manditory (building the portfolio was a school assignment). I do would like to at least keep in there that I am searching for an internship. It can't hurt, but I get your point. I dont really know what the industry standard is but if it is up to ones preference i'll never get it right because I can't satisfy everyone, right? :)

    Again thanks for the feedback!

Wow, another one? I wish the other students in my classes had been this diligent about posting their folios around! Been seeing your classmates work-- love the Heavens Edge project, it's really nice.

The idea that keeps coming back to me while I browse your page, is that I don't know your name from just looking at your front page. That "Tech-FX" means nothing to me, and it's not even your screen name. A more logical/common title would be "Remco van den Berg - [Insert desired art role here]", that way we know upfront who you are and what you do.

Side note, your linkedin link is the wrong link, I get a "you don't know this user" page. :)

Otherwise, good job! Keep making stuff and updating, you should be cycling some of the older stuff/student work off the page ASAP. About page seems fine to me, I tend to just skip over personal sections and everything else reads well.
