To me the handle looks too big, it only needs to fit one hand and also it shouldn't be cylindrical, most weapons tend to have a rectangular-ish profile to the grip to help with edge alignment.
As for texturing, you've got a good base but it could do with a bit more character.
You can put a lot more detail into your roughness map, especially for a steel or more pure metal. You should put in some impurities and damage, some less smooth areas and I think your blade will look pretty nice

Deforges - Thanks heaps for that example. I'm going to try and replicate that texture for the blade. Is the bottom map the albedo? I didn't think something like this would need an albedo other than black. Or is that for a metalness workflow?
oobersli + Visceral - Yeah, I'll probably change it to be rectangular soon. I definately won't need a full square map. I might do a scabbard at some point for it though.
New update. Added more to the gloss map in all areas. Not sure I want to make it any more worn as I wanted something that looked relatively well maintained.
Not sure if I'll do more on this as I have my eye on some other exercises, but I'd still appreciate any and all crits.
