I feel compelled to write this up because I feel like this game needs to be seen.

More specifically, has anyone cried because of this game?

At GDC last week, I didn't expect I'd cry at all. Exhaustion, yes. Hurt feelings, yes. Jovial happiness, maybe. But sobbing in the middle of a post Q&A? Nope.

But talking with Ryan Green after the Experimental Games Workshop that Friday evening, I cried. I'm still thinking to myself why it happened, just . . . this game to me is probably the most honest, important look at something that we all face in some way shape or form. And being the calloused person I've become in a lot of ways, I think this reminded me of some painful things I keep forgetting to recollect. Things that should make me gentler, but hasn't.

And I can't even imagine for some of you parents out there what suffering through such an ordeal would even mean on all ya'll's spirit. Or if something similar has happened with you loved ones.

Ryan was incredibly gracious with me, explained what he meant by his intention for the game to be about hope and grace.

Has anyone had an opportunity to check his game out yet? Demo it? Talked with any of the developers? What has been your experience with this game or the team?
