Hello Polycounters,
I just finished up this character for a Character for Games class I'm taking. Thought I would share it with you fine and talented people. Concept by Mitchell Mohrhauser. Learned a lot on this project. Can't wait to start my next character!

The leather needs more discoloration noise.
How did you construct the eyes?
I like that blue light hitting the left side of her face but I feel maybe a soft fill light hitting her right side could help make some of those details pop. I think getting a very slight highlight on the edge of the right side of the collar might be nice.
I like the mood that is happening, though, nice job!
What i mean by this, is that i strongly suspect of you tried to rotate her arms upward her shoulders would collapse badly, and even a basic walk cycle would struggle to look good due to bad joint deformation.
Making characters that look good on your portfolio is one thing, but this is a bad habit that can and will be picked up on by any competent lead who's reviewing your work. It will hold you back in the long run, because as well as making things look good, you need to make things that actually work.
