As a 3D artist on the Oculus content team, youll be working on high-end experiences for VR that show off the potential of this exciting new platform. A combination of both prototyping and full content realization, this role will demand solving a variety of ambiguous problems. The ideal candidate shares our passion for VR and gaming and will apply their expertise to developing revolutionary content for the gaming platform of the future.
Responsibilities
- Able to both create high quality assets from original design as well as from pre-visualization concept art.
- Working with the Art Director and the creative team to collaborate, pre-visualize, and execute on experiences that evangelize VR to developers and consumers alike.
- Able to execute on a variety of different modeling needs Environment, Prop, Vehicle, Organic, Hard Surface.
- Able to shift gears quickly and adapt to many different art styles.
Requirements
- 4+ Years of experience creating both high polygonal models and game-res models for real time rendering.
- Strong proficiency in Maya, Max, Modo, Zbrush or other high-end modeling package.
- Excellent understanding of form, proportion, balance, functionality, silhouette, composition, and lighting.
- UE4 experience a plus.
- Strong communication skills.
- Must thrive on ambiguity
