Just found out about this project and decided to join in right away

I'm gonna go and try myself with something really far from sci-fi, which is what I tend to do the most. Always wanted to work on something in this style but never had -or made- the opportunity to do it. So here it is, this is only my mood board, and I'm posting it to make it serious, since I secretly start things and not finish them, so now there is no going back hahah

Decided to not let this one perish in the unfinished projects folder, so I started today blocking out spaces, shapes, and some furniture.

Ignore the pistol, I was just testing that is fully walkable and you won't get stuck.

Baby steps on substance designer, such a great tool. Went for a basic wood for the floor and walls, still lots to do.

Day 2 of 3 on one of the wood textures. I'm liking this more, but I'm not entirely happy with it yet, it's missing some color distinction on what is damaged and a little bit more of wood grain. After that I'll see what else can I add to it unless it gets too busy.

Hey @garcellano thanks! I was checking your thread yesterday and there's some pretty good stuff in there. I noticed it is on Sketchfab already, are you done with it or are you still working on it?

Nice! The wood is coming along just fine. Yeah, I'm done with it. I was working on it a little bit after I called it "done"

Cool thing is that you can still edit your scene anytime after it's on the tower, so I just did a few adjustments on it. Just been on substance designer lately.

@garcellano Oh I didn't know that, that's pretty useful just in case you forgot or want to add something. Yeah I saw your scraped painted wall last night, nice work! It's looking pretty nice. Can't believe how cool Designer is.

Day 3 on the wood floor. I like that now you can differentiate the planks. Added also a little bit of dirt but I just saw today a tutorial on how to add editable weathering for UE4 and that's probably how I will go for the materials on this environment. I know this is for Sketchfab but I can use the exported textures from the graphs for the tower and the substance package for UE.

4th iteration on the wood floor, I think I'm finally happy with this one

I reorganized and optimized the graph too so it would be easier to understand and also it is rigged now in a way that you can edit weathering in UE4.

I'll move on to the next wood texture which is kind of the same but instead of being a lot of thin planks it will consist of less and bigger panels.

I appreciate any comments you have on this since I'm feeling, as they say, in the monkey house with wood flooring.

Went a little bit further with woods and made 2 more variations for the one I already have: 1 more floor texture and 1 wall texture. Next on the list is quickmapping the proxy I already have and taking a look at these textures in UE4, check detail scale, dirt and damage and if necessary, tweak them until it looks good.

Sooooooo I decided to try something totally different for this project, for a number of reasons. I'm going to try and hit for that ArtNouveau illustrations and posters look but inside sketchfab. Here's today's progress, I'm finally working on the actual models for the floor.

These are not final colors but I think this approach will make it look better in the end.

Another update for this, I'm getting close to the style in AN illustrations. I think I'm happier with this look. Still experimenting and optmizing the workflow for this. Here's a progress comparison, screengrabs are from Sketchfab.
