Hello Everyone!!!!

I have been watching you guys for years. It is overdue for my participate and posting my work.

Here is few screenshots that I feel that I need some help. Here is my question for texturing. I am not too sure if i should set my handpainting for each materials separately. Please help! Remember, this is just work in progress. This is just one of couple screenshot of texturing i made. (They all are 1024 maps) I might will have to redo my texture if i am going to import them into UE4 and render in 2048 size of map or higher. Please help! :) Thank you all.

    Hi Jozzy,

Somethings that stand out to me are scaling issues, like with the doors, railings, and windows. They seem to be too small. Make a box with about the size of a human for reference and compare it's size to the building, and its components.

About the textures, you could individually paint each piece of geometry, if that is what you're asking. But I would just unwrap one beam of wood, copy it around, then translate them around (rotate, scale) on the scene to add some visual variation. Work smarter, not harder!

Finally, reference images are key! Make sure you have loads of images from in-game, concepts of the environment, and even existing structures.

    Keep it up!

Hi Jozzy, the houses are looking good so far. If you are aiming to put those houses in a game (or in your game art portfolio), the curve frames/patterns on the windows might take a lot of tris, you might want to use an alpha map for those windows (and just draw the frames on the map instead of using actual geometries). Keep up the good work! :)
