Sup guys, I'm new.
3D modeling has been a hobby of mine for a while. I've done a lot of weapons and things like that in the past, nothing serious. I felt like changing it up and started a WWII character. I don't have much experience painting textures or animating either - so I figured this would give me something to sharpen my skills with.
I have been struggling a bit with the body proportions and pose.
The EPIC Skeleton Template proved to be very helpful.
criticism/feedback greatly appreciated!

Still need to do some major work on the cheeks, brow, jaw and ears.. am I on the right track?
Will have to fix the forehead tomorrow.. and add some eyes o_o
Here's the head again. I'm thinking of pushing the eyes/cheekbones back a little further.. other than that I'm running out of ideas.
How can I give him a more heroic appearance?
I would like to share some changes I've made to the grunt character.
Progress on the head mesh was getting slow so I decided to move on. I'll come back to it once I figure something out..
Took a stab at baking normals recently. Here's a Kar98 bayonet. 555 Tris.

@Legion_studios - He is Polish (Warsaw Uprising), although most of his equipment will be German.

I've been working on some character stuff recently. I must admit - I got a little side-tracked before, I went a little crazy, modeled a bunch of gear instead of focusing on finishing the main character.. and eventually lost interest. I definitely want to come back and finish texturing the bayonet.. But for now I will focus on the low poly character.
I switched over to Blender a couple months ago, and remade the character so I could get a feel for the modeling tools. I figured I would share the new model before I jump into the hand painted texture stuff.
