Hey polycount! Its been a long time since I've posted; its been a while since I've had time for personal work.
I have an oculus rift dev kit at home, and I've been wanting to create an environment for it. I was looking for something self-contained and ornate, so I've settled on creating a Chinese siheyuan: a closed courtyard surrounded by buildings on all sides.
Im currently looking at a lot of temples and such as well for reference.

I did a super rough blockout

And imported it into Unreal 4 to make sure the scale felt ok.

Next step is breaking it down into pieces.

I've created a couple modular pieces to get rolling:
and snapped them together
I'll need some variations of the wall and a door module, and likely a few others.
