Hey guys, I've been working on this smg for the past couple of weeks. I know Aimpoit Pro is probably not the best choice for this gun, I just like the way it looks. I think I'm done with the highpoly, if anyone has any feedback to share before I move to the lowpoly, I would appreciate it. Thanks!
Great work here pizza. Yeah that aimpoint is pretty gnarly haha. Can't wait to see how the low poly turns out with the textures. It's gonna be interesting. All the best.
What helps me a lot is taking a high res photo into photoshop, desaturating, and contrasting through the levels editor so I can see production wear and areas that are non-uniform.
I think you should add some of the white specs onto the gun, increase the surface noise on your foregrip so it's different from your lower receiver which needs some of the grease / cleaning residue to give some variation. Another thing you can do to add interest while keeping overall texture 'clean' is to add color variation in your albedo.

Looks really good so far!
Really good advice, thanks.
Yeah presentation on the highpoly is great! I think you should use a similar setup for the low. Can I ask which tools you're using for both?
I was using keyshot for the highpoly and marmoset for the lowpoly.
p.s. Love your portfolio!
