Hi i'm new on polycount and am on my second year of uni. Still kinda of a beginner at zbrush so i'm trying to use this as an exercise to both learn and practice anatomy. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated
Good start man! Back looks a bit flat to me so maybe you could try to add some more volume there. other than that looks like you are using reference and everything seems to be working so far
Thank you for the feedback! It was really useful and i have looked at trying to improve some of the areas pointed out
Progress is going kinda slow at the moment but i have tried blocking out more of the general body structure before going into super detail.
And I will definitely try to fix the teres major in the next update ^^
Hey Filip,
Nice start, you seem to have gotten the silhouette down pretty well. It would be nice to see you hide the arms and post a profile shot to see how all the weight is being distributed.
One thing standing out to me in the legs is the sartorius muscle. It's a long muscle that's that attaches to the ASIS of the pelvis, and stretches all the way down and inserts onto the tibia.
If you're not familiar with it, check out Anatomy4Sculptors. Here are a couple of images off of that site that may help you see what I mean.
I also just picked up a great tutorial series by Rafael Grassetti that are really insightful. The anatomy package is only $16 right now and I don't think you can beat that price for such great tutorials.
Hi Bolovorix!
I see what you mean about the sartorius muscle. I will definitely look at getting the book you mentioned. It's surprisingly difficult to get good reference images of certain areas of the body that match up!
Nice anatomy study! Going really well. I'd also take a look at external oblique, yours look like it's going towards groin, but that part is Aponeurosis of external obligue and it is visible on ripper people, but does not have so much volume.
Thing that stands out is the profile view, he looks like he is pushing his belly out. I am assuming that you're going for a ripped guy in relaxed pose, so his pecs should be in line with the abs.

And here's the profile view you asked for

Some of my own anatomy studies might help you
