So I'm pretty excited about this and I'm gonna assume you meant for me to watch this video 4-5 times over and spot the URL you used in the video that demo's the viewer
Can't wait for this! So much awesome.
After playing around with the link above I think this is going to be a real game changer for portfolios. Also a lot of potential for commercial applications.

A little slow to load, but this is fucking brilliant. Fantastic work guys! Good luck with the talks!
Oh man you guys! Never underestimate the power of a determined internet.
I've taken this link down, we'll be adding a live gallery to our website when it's ready, this was an older version of our GDC Gallery demo, stop by booth #302 at GDC if you want to try the viewer!
makes me sad and happy at the same time. We programmed something quite similar for the iPad last year to demo stuff to our clients. Marmoset viewer is definitely better (yay!) but now we likely have to abandon our own work, which was a lot of fun
This looks amazing. I wonder... Now that polycount has an animation section, will marmoset add an animation option? hint... you damn well better! (please)
That's a bit harsh I think. Let's be honest, I am excited about the Marmoset Viewer but let's not crap all over someone that has given us a great toolset that has been incorporated not only into this board but also into Artstation and Facebook.

I Guess you're right, but I Don't see myself using sketchfab when this baby comes out.
Sketchfab is awesome for simple/flat-shaded stuff, but PBR is a major thing nowadays.
While I am highly interested in this, the biggest hurdle to me is hosting. Marmoset viewer looks great but some of these files take quite some time to load. When you factor in 4 or 5 textures at 2048 and a heavy mesh you might be looking at 60+mb, right? And that's per view. That's pretty tight on bandwidth. Like I said, I am really excited to learn more about the marmoset viewer but it really depends on how it is implemented especially with sketchfab using pbr now.

We optimize and compress the scenes on export, most of the demo content we're showing here at GDC is around the 10MB range. We had one scene that was about 30mb, but that had 7 sets of 4 or so 2K maps, so around 28 2Ks or so total.
We have a few options for texture quality too, that cap resolution at 1k, 2k and 4k, so you have control over the file size/quality ratio.
Is there any offline mode to it, or online only?
Asking because we love the idea that it runs on a tablet, so our sales team would love this. But they can't always be online. Anyway, great work - looks very polished!
We have plans to make an app that can read our .mview files direct from device but we haven't committed to development yet. We're very happy that you're so excited!

I should have bought Marmoset Toolbag during the last sale. The waiting game starts again.
I feel like I should send marmoset flowers!

The .mview file format is proprietary, not a wrapper for a common format.
Just checked out their site, and your right.
They did add PBR suppport, my bad.
It will run in any browser including pc
no need to buy expensive things just for this lol.
