Pause when closing/collapsing UVW Unwrap

For some reason I get an annoying 1-2 second display port pause when closing the Unwrap UVW editor window, collapsing it or deleting it. It starts to get annoying after a while and I don't know why it does it. The complexity of the model makes no difference and it will do it on a low poly primitive. No other modifier does this. I'm running no scipts or plugins, everything is default. My older version (2008) doesn't have this problem so I guessing it's a problem with this version?

Yeah, that was fixed in 2014.

Oh, so it is a problem with this version? Guess I'll have to just live with it for now then.
