Problem when adding cage in max

hello guys, i'm having a weird problem with 3ds max when trying to add multiple HP objects to my low poly object for baking my normal map.

My low and high poly are seperated in multiple parts "exploding" All the low poly parts are attached together. When setting up the baking options and picking the seperated HP objects for the cage i'm getting this weird issue.

Any ideas what is causing this problem?
