Portfolio Critique: Character and Prop art

I have some time before GDC to winnow out the weak pieces and fix things on my portfolio. If you guys see anything that needs fixing, call it out!

You've got some really nice and diverse stuff on your portfolio. The only thing that sticks out to me is the hair on Jinx as I don't really feel that it matches the style of the rest of the character and weapons. I'm not really sure what to do to improve it though.
The Resurgence weapons are pretty simple so if you're looking to cut anything I'd consider those, but at the same time they show some additional diversity as well.
Other than that the content part looks pretty solid.

On the design side of things I really think the banner needs to be redone from scratch as it just doesn't look good right now. Here's what I'd do:
- Remove signature
- Remove phone-number (should be enough to keep it in the resume right?)
- Enlarge you name and desired position
- Remove or significantly turn down the green streak as it's too distracting (same thing goes for the resume)
- Make the banner out of some styled text or use imagemapping to make your email address clickable (if you really want to use an image)

I'd also try to redesign the panda logo to be more minimalistic so that it'd be less distracting (if nothing else you might want to tone down the color of the eyes a bit).

All in all it's a nice portfolio, but with a small bit of extra work you can push it a bit closer to greatness. Keep it up!

You've got some solid stuff. I think you will find work soon man. I think my only issue is with your tracer and jinx characters. They aren't bad but they don't really resemble tracer or jinx IMO. I think that would hurt you should you show them to RIOT or Blizz. But they are well executed characters. The hair on jinx needs work though man..I agree maybe it should have been stylized and chunky maybe. Overall, the content is definitely solid. Good luck!
