It looks like you have used some kind of automatic unwrap option. You need to make logical islands, similar to what you have posted below. It is also a good idea to unwrap the mesh with identical meshes overlapping. I would do this by deleting one half o the identical faces, unwrapping the mesh and duplicating/mirroring/welding the sides of the mesh back together.
