Abandoned Subway Stations - UE4
As my graduation project I'm working on a Abandoned Subway Stations in UE4.
I'm planning to post my progress from beginning till the very end here.

The beginning
So to start off with here are some blockouts:
And the first material made with substance designer:

Nice Blockout. Should look awesome. The tiles should be smooth so try taking taking the bumpyness out of the normal map. The grime in your diffuse map should also apply in your spec map. The more grunge, the less shiny the tiles will be. Hope this helps
^This, I would actually make the grunge in the diffuse a bit more subtle too.
True it was a quick screenshot made in Keyshot, here it is in UE4
Next stop is changing the way the tiles are damaged.
*The material is only going to be on the pillars, but for now i assigned it to everything so i could check my uv's
The pillar has no longer the splash like shapes, as you can see in the latest screenshot. It are hard angles now.
For the brown part you have a good point there
max blockout

Next stop, sculpting the ceiling.
added some props, and started adding a lot of decals with graffiti
Here's a new update with more graffiti, new roofstructure and posters.
too many skids imo, show some of the track and break 1 or 2 skids or have them missing a board or two
looks good so far, nice to see it slowly coming to life
I like the tile's pattern.. there's no obvious repetition.
Umm... It's kinda weird though that you don't get any kind of bounce lighting from your lights.. it's completely black above the shadow "line", while the rest is well lit
And you got a few light sources in there that have no model/source counterpart.. floating.
It's still a wip though, keep going.
Good ones thank you for your feedback.
@Cay
Your right that some light sources are still floating those will become emergency lights and oil lamps.
The overall idea behind all the pallets is people lived in this station so the filled the tracks with them so they can place some beds and stuff on there to live in the station. But more of that will become more clear in following updates
Next stop is more small props like cans of food.
The pillars are good but the clipping in the arc is heavy. Maybe dont make the tiles this high the same with the beams which are tiled to.
The ceiling is to dark. It looks like raw concrete without paint.
Watermarks can help for the muddy look or when you have open fire smoke stains.
