Hey folks,
I'm trying to attach a set of bones to a skin. Following tutorials online I've grabbed a cylinder and a set of bones to rig up. When I attach the bones and move them nothing happens. No matter the size of the cylinder in relation to the bones. I've looked around on the internet and most people blame it on their envelopes. The weird thing about this is that my weights seem to cover the areas in red like they should.
Has anyone run into this? What am I doing wrong?
Lemme know if this is the wrong forum too. It's been a long time since I've posted on polycount.
Cheers.

@.wiki I just used that to show how the bones are being mapped onto the mesh. They still dont work outside of that.
Do you have the latest service pack installed?
Maybe you can make your first file available for us to download?
Here's a link to a reproduction of the problem file.
Always deform was checked.
I just recently downloaded this new version of MAX but I remember having this problem a while back too. I hope it's user error and not some bug that's haunting me.

Seems like it was a bug the whole time.
Thanks for the help team.
