How to study ?

Hi ! Just a quick question I have,

So I was wondering, how do you guy study from an online tutorial ? I mean like DT or Gnomon DVD, you just watch the entire lesson and then start your project, or do you work on your 2nd screen while watching it etc... ?

I just process better that way learning the techniques and apply them myself. If I can just replicate the action its no good unless i can find a way to use it in my own workflow

I usually jot down loose notes..or note times..if there is any particular "a-ha" moment, or crucial step..Just so you don't have to dig it up again

I watch and try to do it at the same time , but I try to apply it to what I'm modeling/whatever right now so I don't just copy-paste what they're doing.

I watch the full thing once, and then watch it a second time while following along.

I don't like multitasking when learning, I generally like to dedicate all of my attention to absorbing as much material as possible.

Sometimes I am mainly concerned with concepts and approach since if I have an understanding of them then I can always refer to Google search to quickly revisit the methodology.
