Spiffys Character Improvement/Practice Thread

I tend not to finish the threads/projects I occasionally post here so this is just a thread where I post what ever I'm working on and ask for feedback and critique.

Been a while since I've done a female character so here's some progress.







I'd love some feedback.

The body looks a bit manly, needs slightly less waist or more hips. The ribcage is also manly.

No that reads woman. We're just not collectively used to normal proportioned women as game artists a lot of times. The hips are about the width of the shoulders, and the waist pinches. It follows the guidelines, I think.

Nice start. Not sure about the size of the hands and feet.

The problem with it is largely the rib cage I think, it gives a barrel like shape to the torso, which is something that pretty much only men get.

@KingKellogg: I have to rebut saying that I think a normal ribcage, with that lack of body fat in the torso, would create that silhouette with some women.

I can see how it looks manly, but I'm erring towards "It's just a really grounded woman anatomy."

I can see where you're coming from, but the bone structure just seems manly to me( I obsess over it with realism...it's why I don't go for realistic models XD )

Pulled the torso and hips up a little and pulled the hips out a tad, I think it does look better.

Not touching the hands a feet just yet, I want to get the torso looking decent.
