not able to save shelf in maya

well i am trying to make custom shelf but when i try to save it in the script editor it says "check write permission". Really want to fix it just so i don't have to make new shelf every time i start maya also happens to gozbrush the tab is there but not the button to transfer to zbrush. any help/suggestions will be very much appreciated.(have uninstall maya multiply times)

Are you on Windows? If so, try to run Maya as Administrator.

yea i am on windows, right click and ran as admin still no luck. i downloaded the 2014 student version and same thing wont let me save shelf "check write permission". So seems like something up with my computer.
