Man, it's been a long time! How's it goin' everybody!
I've been working on this character based on the concept by the awesome Moby Francke for a little bit now. The plan at the moment is to recreate this shot as best I can.
Here's where I am at so far. I've spent a decent amount of time on the face and have only recently diverted my attention towards the clothing. There are still things that I sense are off about his face and I def need to give some love to his beard.
I'm still trying to get the hang of modeling clothing (especially things like shoes/boots). But I've mainly been focusing on getting all the pieces in there before I go back and really hammer out and of the funky bits, of which there are plenty at the moment.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with where this is going and I really want to hit this one out of the park. My goals with this are really to lock down my character making pipeline and finally nail down sweet renders/beauty shots. I think this can can get to a really cool place, especially if I get some help from you guys!

I'll upload some pics of the body proportion tweaks soon.
Also, i will make him a little bit athletic. His lower abdomen is a bit fat. In my opinion, in the concept, it's the jacket itself who make him feel fat.
But hey, i like your interpretation so far, keep it up !
I really dig your characters by the way. You have a unique style!
I feel like the head shape (more cranium) isn't quite there yet along with the beanie and hie entire head might still be a little too small.
After that i'm moving on to retopo.
