Wow, these are great, exactly the style I love!
Ryan was an outsource artist on an Indie game project I was on for a while and his characters are very lively and it shows here too.
Great work by everyone on the project and too bad it went down, hope you all carry on with even better stuff

Oh that's cool! After Wandake he was doing mainly freelance, so I shouldn't be surprised. Ryan is a great guy, and a fantastic artist. I hope to be able to work with him again soon. All the artists at Wandake were completely in sync art wise, which was something truly special.
Done really well, from the colors to the forms. just awesome.
A lot of that credit goes to Ryan, our lead concept artist, he has a great eye for this stuff. Although a learned sooo much from working with him. I didn't really "get" color theory before then.
Super fun stuff man, sorry the project was killed :< Keep posting more, I'd love to see what the world looked like if you have any shots to share.
If you look at the portfolios of the 2D artists I posted in the beginning you should be able to find some of the building illustrations they did. I'd say a lot of them are even more fun than some of these characters!
Fingus, these characters are gorgeous, man!
Super bummed to hear the project fell through
We want to see more!! :poly123:
Aww thanks man! Coming from you that means a lot, I actually used your work as reference for some of these, particularly how you do hair. There's a more idealized female character that hasn't been rendered out yet, I should get to that!
I really like the archer character, makes me think of fable!
Most people usually remark that it reminds them of Assassins Creed, probably because of the hood and the pose. But now that you mention it I can definitely see some Fable in there!
I am totally blown away by your work, I mean its all great but the colours especially! You have nearly single handedly inspired me to learn to make characters again, trust me, that is no easy task! Can't wait to see more of your work, thanks for sharing
This is an astounding collection of great characters! I don't know what game it is, but they are so good, I don't care, I just want to play it. That dragon is especially fantastic, if I was forced to pick one, it might be my favorite - but they are all excellent. I checked out your blog and saw some of the toy design doodles you were doing, very nice!
Great designs and great execution! Not a huge fan of every part of the presentation (in order to offer some unimportant, subjective nitpicking) but I guess those are the colors they would have been shown against in the game and while I think the blurry, reflective floor looks out of place it helps to set the characters apart. I like the posing.

Fun indeed! I had a blast working there, so it's doubly a shame it got cancelled. I learned a lot too, especially about color and stylization.

Yooo Charles! Noticed you noticing these on Artstation too. Thanks notifications!
