Titanic Cherub aka my Battle with Zbrush

Recently started learning Zbrush and havn't done a character in a while and thought this would be the best chance to do both while brushing up on my Anatomy.
I'm trieing to recreate the Cherub located in the Grand Staircase of the Titanic and her sister ships. (main refs 1 2 3)

Sofar i'm just dynameshing the torso & head for the Cherub based at Child anatomy ref pics from Anatomy4Sculptors set this onto my ref grids in Zbrush

Anyway enough talking, time to show what I made sofar :

This is still very early and I'm mainly trieing to block out shapes atm - so if you see something that is absolutely incorrect anatomy wise let me know, even though it might be a bit too early for that

Good progress so far!

Try to use some other material when sculpting like say BasicMaterial. The Red wax doesn't help you see its form as good.

slow progress is slow, added some arms (I have to say I love dynamesh) - the anatomy is most likely way off but for the moment they will do - any kind of C&C appreciated

First of all, before doing anything, establish all the relevant proportions. You really don't want to find yourself fixing fundamental problems on the later stages.

Hey dude, try putting him in pose considering that's what you're going for. I know it may seem easier to get consistent proportions the way you are doing it but you can measure using the transpose tool if need. I would probably construct my base mesh using zspheres putting them in pose but that's up to you. You should also use some sort of shape to represent hands and feet, even if it's just blocky approximations, it will help. Can't really speak on much else as it's too early stages but dat baby has one masculine jaw. Good luck.
