Hey guys I need some feedback for my new model, as well as the model it is a study into PBR values and methods for one project.
It was originally started as a cross between Iron Man colours, a claw arm from a Games Workshop Dreadnaught, and a Minigun. The side pipes with the alpha mask were made in Zbrush.
Baked in Xnormal as SMB models and any cuts into the head done in NDo

Two of the bakes previewed after in 3do.

I tend to use a combination of methods to texture, Photoshop, 3d coat, or Zbrush etc. For the first test, I wanted to try using Substance Painter and then display the model in UE4 with a basic scene rather than a grey background as in my previous work.
The rest of the Dalek was the same colour, just the body was changed for now to test the colouration.

And then the modern styled Dalek was placed into a 1970s style Doctor Who scene. Still work in progress.

Next I want to try using the Normal and AO combined with a basic colour and an offset world position grunge map in UE4, maybe even a second normal texture for close up detail such as the bumping on the dark grey areas. I also need to make a material function followed by a material instance, so that I can control the values, and think about using layered materials.
