Starting a thread here for design work in zbrush, will be working on a series of rapid concepts. My aim is to improve speed, technique, and design, and also create a series of candidates for a more polished final work. This one was around 2 hours for sculpting then some extra time for renders and comp.

And the first one, sorry for double posting if you do see the original image below:
did you create the scifi helmet in zbrush? looks like a good hardsurface
modeling practise in a 3d app for me.
the creature looks really mean, i like that
the corpse guy looks also great, would love to see this guy textured.
keep up the good stuff, i saved your images to my inspiration folder, so thanks for sharing

Nintendo, my workflow for designing the helmet was like this:
-Concept sculpt in zbrush, dynamesh from a sphere.
-Retopo in 3dcoat to get crisp edges as well as refine shapes and break things up into separate segments (for a 3d concept pipeline I can see skipping this part, and doing more polish work in zbrush, but I like the extra control)
- Render in Keyshot
Considering doing beat up textured version, but I may just move on to designing more new stuff.
Btw. How you get values for roughness / metalness and albedo , testing with own values taking it from some soft?, coz I usually take it from quixel so thats why I ask?
For the channel values, I started with the properties of the substances built in to substance painter (bare metal, rough plastic, etc.) and tweaked them for my purposes. I haven't tried using the Quixel Megascans before, interested in playing around with that in the future.
Finally, does anyone know how to change the name of my thread? I'm using this for more of a sketchbook/ art dump and the thread title doesn't really fit.
Now I am still learning so much, so take my criticism with a grain of salt
Her face is rather perfect, as in symmetrical, perhaps adding a few imperfections?
Right now its look very polished I am a fan!
Excited for you to take it to the next level of detail and add some depth to the skin an such!
keep it up!
Great job.
