I've been looking for info on what a degenerated face is; and how to fix degenerated faces in Maya, merging vertices with a extremely low value didn't work
Thanks, now that I have a little more knowledge, the link which I looked at prior to starting this thread made more sense. The problem is solved, but there are little holes in the mesh in Mud, I'll have to close them up !
I know that a degenerated face is as mentioned in this thread a 2-point polygon or a polygon which otherwise has close to zero area. Where on this mesh, which I'm getting a degenerated faces error; are there degenerated faces ?
It's on a part of a mesh that won't be seen at all, basically, I may clean it up further, I may not

I don't think maya will merge these, even if they do have very close points, as they're separate faces.
Its been a while since I used maya, but this link may help.

If you're getting that error in unreal, check your UV's also, for tiny thin faces, because that is typically what causes that error.
