The undo function of Maya has been acting up randomly.
Sometimes when I try to undo, I'm told "undo queue is disabled" when it isn't. If I hit undo again, it does eventually undo.
More troublesome though, undo randomly doesn't see subobject changes. Like, if I move some vertices and hit undo, it undoes whatever I did before that, like when I selected the vertices. No matter how many times I hit undo or redo, it leaves the vertices moved, undoing everything else instead.
Anyone have any idea what's going on? I've gotten into the habit of saving before making large changes, cus I can't trust that I'll be able to undo them.

And no, it happens randomly without anything but the move tool in use, though I do use a programmable mouse for common commands like Undo.
