I have a presentation at school so i put everything together. the flower vase and the pie won't be there on the scene. also the cupcake at the bottom are placeholder, they will be replaced by other cake than cupcakes. I forgot to change my tag so they are all creme brul
Looks really delish.
I know it's still WIP, but my initial reaction to your recent screenshots was to jerk my head back because of how white it is. Very bright. I'm worried the shelves and counters will start blending together too much because of how blown out it is at the moment.
Really cute stuff though
I really want them to be white though >3< Since the first critique i tweak it so there's no pure white on it anymore. On my screen it doesn't look that bad but i realize that on laptop it blasted eye.
In the end, the shelf and counter will be full with stuff, that why I wasn't worried too much about it behind full white.
I was thinking about maybe changing the counter to a pink marble/granite look.
I did some fast color tweak. I didn't love the color of the cash register, i know they are ugly and brownish beige color, but it was very too much ugly. I make it a bit more lighter and i prefer this version. Also i saturated the small wall a bit more.
I need to add the screen to the register asap >3<
Also does anyone know where the last picture in my last post ( the one showing all the cake) have such a bad quality ? It's 100% on imgur because the screenshot is clean and pretty.
Just a color test to check how it would look with pink countertop. What do you think ? White painted wood or pink granite (texture not finish it's just the base color)
I think it's spot on, but then the wall should be darker and less contrasty, because right now the countertop and the light stripes have the same value, and it's confusing.
I'm really bad with lighting, so i just throw a random decent marmoset setup with some tweak.
The final result is pretty much going to be bright as well, since there's neon over the cake, and it will be a bright sunny day.
also i have issue making my glass material look good on marmoset :X if you see on my screenshot i painted some pink reflection on the glass, it look good on flatshaded maya, but as soon as i put it in marmoset, the alpha goes wild and it look horrible like that. If i put the alpha in dither the entire glass is all pixel.
also shadows aren't taking the display furniture, they project the cake shadows and the display one without taking in consideration each other.
I'm going to hiatus this one for a while, i need to concentrated on something else ( a bunch of handpaint diorama of many different climat). I might open a new thread for it, we'll see.

Spring Checker Cake, i wanted the flower/leaf to like fondant, that's why they lack details.

To Uberren's critique: Maybe some tea-cloth would help and look good on the bar and the shelfs?
Your passion for the topic is obvious. Very beautiful, detailed work!
