I'm really excited about this competition! Seeing everyone else's progress has been great. I'm not sure I'll be able to finish in time but wanted to share anyway.
I'd like to create a throne room that is located on the bottom of a large dropship; the landing gear/legs act as pillars and form the nave and aisles. The pulpit/throne opens from the front and is elevated. The walls/ceiling are going to be a lot of hard-surface and futuristic materials, the ground will be more organic; grass, dirt, etc. Since the ship is sitting on a planet.
Here is my initial block out. I'm still working some of the proportions and refining the look of everything. My sketches keep changing.
Software I plan on using: C4D, Blender, 3DCoat, and Substance Designer. I am familiar with Unity and Marmoset Toolbag 2 but would like to give UE4 a try.
