Hey all, I started working on a new model (maybe I will finish this one) and thought I could start a thread here to get some visibility and feedback.

I am working off of a concept by Victor Kudryashov

The concept:

As you can see I am still in the early modeling stage, but got a start on some of the parts I thought were going to be particularly difficult. As always I am open to any feedback, and will update here.

    Very solid start so far!
    The disc at the top looks like it's too flat, in the concept it appears to be thicker.

    Other then that, I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of it blocked in and pushed further :) Keep it up!

    Still got a ways to go before lowpoly.

    @Revocare: Thanks! I was thinking about animating, for the most part it would be pretty simple, except for the cables, which I don't know enough about animation/rigging to set that up. So I think I am just going to focus on modeling and texturing for now.

    @Marshkin: Thanks! I think you are right about the radar disc(?) it is an area I have been avoiding, but I think it is my next target.

    Looking pretty awesome so far! My biggest critique would be in your latest renders. Your lighting is a little blown out which isn't doing the presentation of your model any favors. Also, be wary of your edges. They look pretty sharp in some spots. Keep killing it :). Looking forward to more progress!

    Grabbed a quick viewport render and I am calling this high poly done:

    I am going to move onto my next high poly project, get that finished, then go ahead and do both lows and textures at the same time.
