Really quick question.
I've got a metric buttload of retopoing to do over the next month or two. I've got Maya and ZBrush and while both of them have retopoing functionality that's workable, they're both a bit cumbersome.
If I was going to pick up an app just for retopoing, do you think 3D Coat is likely to be my best in terms of cost effectiveness and efficiency?

I do hear 3D Coat is fantastic for retopo though.
Depends on your budget.
There was another thread about retopo recently, and basically every post was recommending a different topo tool.

I guess its not a cheap solution but if the your studio has a license already it could be worth trying out. Personally I find the Maya quad draw mode to be fairly decent in 2015, you can hold down shift to use a relax brush on the geometry which is nice.
