Hello awesome people!

The two of us are artists (Abbeysaurus & groomedmonkey), both involved in spare-time game development (under Origami Bear). We are really excited to take part in this contest but under a high workload at the moment so won’t pick up momentum for a few weeks. However, we came up with a great concept so decided to post a quick sketch to get things rolling.

"Seat of Wisdom Lost” encapsulates the mood and implied narrative of mixing Green and Black magics.

We are imagining that the tree, bursting from the top, is growing out from the inside of the shell itself, rather than simply from the ground up through it. The inside of the great tortoise shell should be quite spectacular, lined with various growths, crystals, and mystic carvings.

The spiralling staircase leads up to where the strongest, magic-imbued crystals meet with the roots of the tree. The actual throne forms from this meeting of two magic sources and crests the shell to the outside environment.

    So, I finally got a chance to do more work on this challenge and here are a few initial quick zbrush sculpts of the shell and tree. Still just greyboxing the environment. Will keep posting updates once they are more game-ready models.
