A little about us:

Hey there! We are a small indie company, and we have been working tirelessly on our adventure game, and we are looking for a character artist to help us finish up some existing characters. Our first adventure game was very well received, and we're looking to finish our next! Did you like the golden age of adventure games, like what Sierra and LucasArts used to produce? Keep reading!

This is a point and click adventure game with an epic, unique, and completely original story! Lots of characters and environments -- a fully realized world! Character dialogue voiced by top-notch voice actors! Original orchestral score! The game is mostly finished with the exception of these characters, which need a boost in quality and cohesiveness. Looking to release this year on PC first, followed by other platforms.

3D Modeler/Texture Artist:

We have a bunch of characters that mostly need a once over polish in terms of their model and texture. Some need more work, some need just a few texture touch-ups. We have documented what's needed.
  • For all our characters, we're currently using Maya (though given the right candidate, this is negotiable)
  • Most of this should be quick, simple work for a skilled character artist. Characters need a boost in quality and cohesiveness, as previous characters were handled by various different artists.
  • Relatively speaking, these are all low poly and simple characters.
  • No sculpting/normal mapping needed; only diffuse maps.
  • Everything is rendered to sprites in the end.
  • All characters are unwrapped already.
  • Depending on quality and speed of the artists work, there will be as many as 60 characters to polish.
Candidates need to:
  • Be a self-starter who’s driven, responsible, detail-oriented, and able to follow instruction where given
  • Possess strong organizational and communication skills (this is a must)
  • Have a passion for games
  • Be able to work remotely with your own hardware/software with Maya 2013 and up, though preferably Maya 2015. If you use Max or another package and still think you fit the bill, let me know and we'll talk.
  • Be able to show examples of your work (preferably examples of low-poly characters with hand-painted textures)
  • Match art styles while still using some of your own creativity
  • Work quickly and efficiently
Our pay is negotiable, though keep in mind this is self-funded (i.e. we have no publisher)
