I have never made a prop with barbed wires before. And surprisingly I couldn't fine a useful tutorial for a beginner like me. Except a few high poly tutorials that don't suit for video games.
I'm after such a thing:

Where I can manually move the wires where I want. But when I do, the UV is a mess. Any guidance is welcome. :poly121:

I'm for example making one by creating edges and this is how the texture then looks. (planar map atm)

If I finish making the planes that'd be a long thing to unwrap plus again I don't know how to UV and texture that kind of planes to have the texture look ok like in the image in the OP.

I'm using 3Ds MAX.
Basically this is what I have made so far.

And yes that goes straight into the trash.
Something like this looks so cool but I want to keep it much lower poly thats why I want to do it with planes and I need to wrap the wires around those circles they are connected to. But it's honestly my first time with wires and I need a really noob-ish explanation with almost a good result.
