Hey guys!

Decided to clear my upcoming weekends to attend this exciting new challenge. It'll be my first one for Polycount, so I'm curious how my project will fare compared to the rest! Already seen some top notch concepts and ideas from the rest, keep up the good work y'all!

Anyway, I'm a 3D visual artist, currently specializing in environment art. My main inspiration for Shivanor is the art style seen in the Final Fantasy games. I just love the art style they are using (especially in FFVIII). The whole mix between medieval/steampunk/fantasy is so well implented, getting a lot of inspiration from their designs. Already made a simple moodboard for inspiration and a sketch. Feel free to comment on my work:). Will post more soon!

Nice idea ! however be careful with the steampunk, it's really easy to mess it up, the term is so badly used everywhere that people aren't even sure what it is anymore, currently there's nothing steampunk in any of your mood board so maybe just drop the steampunk, your design is already really nice like that!

Indeed, it could get very messy if the whole steampunk style isn't incorporated well, thank you for your advice! Will focus more on the art style that I already have in my designs and ditch the whole steampunk. Will post more soon to check if I'm still on the right track.

This weekend I created the pillars and also added them into a new UE4 project. As this object was the first to texture, I had some difficulties which materials I wanted to use. In the end, I'm quite happy with the result.
