THRONE ROOM - Asian Themed - Dawnson

Hey there. I'm planning on making an Asian themed throne room. It'll be a mix of Chinese and Korean inspired design. Most of the reference images I found were in square rooms, so I though it'll be neat for the room to be a circle. I'll keep the round theme going as I make the assets but I'll keep the window designs square because I like the way they contrast.

So far I have my block out in UE4 with a rough lighting pass. Next is modeling more detailed meshes and texturing. I want to get some Zbrush practice so I'm going to do a lot of traditional Chinese relief art on the pillars, floor and roof.

No solid ideas of what to do for the actual throne yet, so any input would be appreciated.

Main inspiration is the Changdeokgung Palace in South Korea.

Looking good! And I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that goes a little more detailed in the "blockout" stage I know the ref has a lot of open floor space, but are you planning on filling it a bit? I just worry it may seem a bit bare once it's all done without a center piece.

I hope it'll be enough. If not, I'll think of something that'll fill up the space more.
