Holes in bake?

I'm getting these odd holes from my bake in 3ds max. They don't seem to be due to the cage clipping since i've checked a couple of times now.

Looks like cage clipping to me, but could be something else. Do the same issues happen with the normal map or only AO?

I +1 the cage clipping. Maybe try baking out in xNormal? But first, I would thoroughly check your cage as that is the only thing off the top of my head that would create bake artifacts like that.

Checked cage and there doesn't seem to be any clipping. This only occurs on the AO map

Might be the highpoly is intersecting itself and you don't see it because backface culling is on. (Can be turned off in the object properties.)
