THRONE ROOM - Throne of the Fae Queen - Ellalune

Hey friends! I am really excited about this opportunity to create a new environment I wouldn't have otherwise. Plus, it could be a nice portfolio piece.

I'm going to go for a fairy realm look in terms of architecture and style. I've already started the planning and conceptualizing process. If you're interested, I have a Pin Board of images I have collected to inspire me for this project.

I've also made some mood boards that I will attach below.

I plan on using Maya, ZBrush, Sketchup, Photoshop and Substance for this project so far. Can't wait to share my progress as I work on this!

For my throne, I want to make a swing hanging from a giant garden arbor, covered in vines and flowers. Here is the mood board for the throne.

As for the style of the environment/architecture and all the various decorations/objects, I have a mood board for that too!

I've been eager to post a progress shot and since I had an assignment for school to model any object, I chose to do the arbor for my throne room scene. This is the start of the arbor that is going to go over the walkway to the throne, covered in flowers and such. Made in Maya.

Alright, so for one last progress picture for tonight, I've gone and altered the construction a bit and made the arbor(s) about the actual length of the walkway just to preview how it will look and feel. Oh, and I also took the time to do a little render as well. So here it is! Check out my pin board to spot all the references I used to design and model this.

I've put together a concept drawing of my throne room as I am envisioning it so far. I made a little blockout in Sketchup to draw over. I'm still working on the concept as I go, but any feedback on the design thus far would be much appreciated!
