THRONE ROOM - The Last Throne - JamesHodgart - t3h4ndy

Hey all!

The concept behind our idea was to paint the chair itself as the object of power (quite literally) and we couldn't think of any better than ultimate power of the justice system - the electric chair.

Were still undecided as to what era to place it in but the chair has to be to the centre of attention with a viewing space. The other important feature will be the extractor fan - a grisly reminder of the practicality and mercilessness power of the chair.

We also plan to make the space a realistic as possible, drawing inspiration from the recent developments in architectural visualisation and physically based rendering. We'll use Max, Photoshop, zBrush and Unreal.

Cheers!

Put together some reference boards and some mood boards. Although these rooms are generally high security and confined we want to introduce some natural light with some high ceilings. Esstentially what we are aiming to to is to introduce throne room-esque design into our concept - banners, pillars etc.

The chair itself will naturally be elevated with further attention being drawn to it from the light above cast by the extractor fan. I've also attached a layout although we may need to push it even bigger.

Some has been left unfinished but we plan to do most of our design in 3D using shapes and once the general composition and layout has been decided upon we will replace the proxies with relevant assets.
