I started 3d modelling about 4 months ago when I began studying for a 3d computer graphics diploma from my local college. This is my second organic sculpt, which I did for a class project where we were supposed to model anything of our own design in a week.
I love zbrush! It really feels like digital clay, which is great for me, as I have a background in the traditional arts.
I started out with zspheres for the head and body, then created the base meshes for the clothing in Maya. I ended up painting the model in Zbrush and just rendering out from there. I am currently working on retopologizing this guy currently, whenever there's time outside of my class projects.
Some issues which I intend to revisit on this model as soon as I can are that his muscles lack a little definition, they are too plastic-looking. In addition, I would like to revisit his clothing, maybe texture it up a bit, perhaps give it the old substance designer treatment. Let me know what you think, I am always open to criticism.
