unlike magic tricks, art isn't a performance, it's a procedure! not an act, which can be performed at any given moments' notice... some practiced, rehearsed, explored path.
Serious time. I've practiced card tricks on and off for for many years and yes it's a performance. However, once you learn several slight of hand techniques it's up to your creativity how you present a trick. You also end up coming up with your own techniques. I really like to do card flourishing, which is just breaking the deck into several packets and spinning, cutting, shuffling them around and I've come up with my own flashy flourishes. There's some creativity to magic tricks and although it's a Performance, in our industry Presentation/Marketing/Performances can be important to the success of a Game or to your Portfolio/Network/Job Interviews.
It's been my experience that an unusually high number of people in the games industry know how to juggle.
thats because when you bake/render stuff you need something to do while staring at progress bars!
Honestly I would recommend juggling to everyone, its awesome
